Aims and Scope
The Journal of Policy Studies (JPS) is a scholarly journal quarterly published by Graduate School of Public Administration (GSPA) at Seoul National University (SNU).
JPS seeks original research that provides rigorous empirical analyses of public policy and administration questions, as well as research that makes innovative contributions to comparative policy. Crucially, JPS aims to serve as a platform for researchers and practitioners for research on developmental administration and for scholarship addressing issues of particular importance to nations that have historically been underrepresented in the global academic community. Our hope is that in doing so, JPS aims to contribute toward a more inclusive, representative, and comprehensive understanding of public policy and administration.
JPS welcomes a broad range of interdisciplinary research on topics ranging from administration reform, to policy innovation, to governance, and development issues around the world as well as interdisciplinary academic perspectives and outlooks from political science, economics, sociology, psychology, cultural studies, and other administrative sciences. It seeks manuscripts of the highest caliber that address important research questions using rigorous empirical analyses.
